brett-favre-minnesota-vikingsThe Minnesota Vikings (5-0) take on the stout defense of Ray Lewis and the Baltimore Ravens (3-2) this Sunday. The oddsmakers at Bodog Sportsbook have the Vikings favored by 3 points (Vikings -3).

The keys to this matchup between the Vikings and Ravens is going to be turnovers. While QB Joe Flacco has looked sloppy in the last two losses throwing 3 picks, meanwhile QB Brett Favre has been flawless. DE Jared Allen looks to disrupt Flacco’s rhythm, while Ed Reed will be watching Favre’s eyes for another pick-6. Both Allen and Reed took one to the house in Week 5. The Vikings have not played a solid defense like the Baltimore Ravens yet this year, and this one will not be easy. Take Baltimore +3 points against the Vikings.

Will Joe Flacco and Co. be able to handle the deafening noise of the Metrodome this Sunday. Long time center Matt Birk, who is coming in for the first time, on the opposing team knows all too well, how difficult the crowd noise can be here. This will pose a disadvantage to Flacco. Long time wide receiver Derek Mason says he needs to step up and get his routes right and make bigger plays.

On the other side Vikings RB Adrian Peterson says he’s looking forward to the matchup between himself and Ravens LB Ray Lewis. The Vikings are coming into the league, leading in rushing. Although, A.P. has been stymied over the last 3 weeks. Take Minnesota -3 points against the Ravens.

I’ll give the edge on this game to the Vikings who play well at home, while Flacco has to deal with the crowd noise, and Adrian Peterson opens up the passing game.

Prediction Vikes win 21-17
