The Panthers head over to Glendale to take on the Cardinals at the University of Phoenix stadium. Arizona is 4-2 straight up and 4-2 against the spread. Carolina is 2-4 SU and a mere 1-5 ATS. At first this game looks like an easy mismatch, however, looking at the stats, this game could become a game of possession. Arizona is only averaging 60 yards of rushing per game, and Carolina is getting over double that with 128.7 rushing yards per game. On the other side of that, the Cards are ranked #1 against the run with only 67.5 rush yards allowed and the Panthers are allowing 133.4 yards of rushing. Of course then you have the fact that Arizona is dominating the pass attack, and Carolina is blowing up the scoreboard with its -17 turnover ratio.

After the way the Cardinals played in Giants Stadium last week, it doesn’t look like many teams can keep up with this evenly balance teamed on offense and defense. I’m a bit suprised at the low 10 point spread, especially since vegas wants to try and up the lines with all the covers last week. The mathmatical prediction for this game is Cards 31 Panthers 14.
