Denver Broncos at Indianapolis Colts
Sunday, 1:00 pm Eastern – CBS

The Indianapolis Colts will try and break the NFL record for most consecutive regular season wins when they host the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The Colts have won 21 straight regular season games dating back to last season.  If they get the win on Sunday against Denver they would not only break the record they share with the New England Patriots, they would also clinch the AFC’s top seed and home field advantage throughout the NFL betting playoffs.

Indianapolis is a 7-point favorite with a total of 44 at SBG Global.

Indianapolis has also won 12 straight games at home including last week when they defeated a red-hot Tennessee team 27-17.  “You try to tell these guys that when you win a couple in a row, or three or four in a row, this is not normal,” said quarterback Peyton Manning, “It’s not normal to win 10 or 11 or 12 games every year. But these guys that have been here five years would tell me it is normal for us. That’s all they’ve done.” The Colts should at least be challenged in this game since Denver comes into the game at 8-4 which is good for the fourth-best record in the AFC.  With a win the Broncos will get closer to ending their three-year playoff absence. “I mean, my big focus this week is beating them because it will mean we’re 9-4. And I think that’s the most important thing for me, for our team,” head coach Josh McDaniels said.  “If in some way it can derail history, then it is what it is.”

Denver trails San Diego by a game for first place in the AFC West. Last week the Broncos rolled over the Chiefs 44-13 as they rushed for a season-high 245 yards. “We’re peaking at the right time,” said running back Correll Buckhalter, “You want to start peaking in December in order to have a chance to do it in the playoffs, and that’s what we’re doing.”

Here are the NFL betting stats for Sunday’s game. The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in December. The Broncos are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 meetings at Indianapolis.

The Colts are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite. The Colts are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in December. The Colts are 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 games as a home favorite.
